Christmas morning dawns wonderful and snowy in Yellowstone. We've
spent the first night in our Snow Lodge home, and awakened to share
Christmas breakfast with all the rest of the folks there (about
120 at any given time, I think). Then we step outside to see the
wonderful Old Faithful, in the mist and steam and snow.
Penny signed up for a cross-country ski lesson, but the rest of us
couldn't get booked in the morning. So, the four of us took the walk
around Old Faithful and all the assorted hot springs and geothermal
activity in the Upper Geyser Basin.
A really beautiful spot, a footbridge over the stream running by all this.
Some of Stephen's ashes were spread here by Bobby today.
We continue walking along this beautiful stream all day, what a way to
spend Christmas day!
