Bobby's hanging out the top of the snowcat taking more film. On
our trip out of the park, this managed to cause him to lose his

Here's our first view of Yellowstone's thermal activity, as we approach
the West Thumb geyser basin on the mostly-frozen Lake Yellowstone.

The lake was incredible, mostly frozen over by this time. Here we can
see the last of the year's loons, still perched on what remains of
open water on the lake.

In this picture you can see how the ice is creeping across the lake. As
we walked along here, you could literally hear the ice freezing
and popping. Very strange. By the next day, this was completely frozen
over.
