A view of the underbelly of our two chocolate-chip starfish,
brilliantly named "Chip" and "Chocolate".
A close-up view of our two starfish. You can see that Chip (the lighter
starfish)'s stomach is distended and feeding off the glass.
The lovely Tina, pig of the tank. Tina is a yellow tang, and she will
just about eat anything that comes near, except, for some reason, the brown algae we
have acquired on the coral fan. Tina was a birthday present from Gina and Amber!
Tina again. Notice the small white notch on her tail? That's one
of the tang's defense mechanisms, a barb that will apparently hurt you fairly
substantially should you attempt to cath them.
Yet another of the photogenic Tina.
And another
And another
sigh...
Tina's peering out from behind the fan coral, where she likes to hide.
In spite of her size, she is incredibly agile and darts between small holes behind the
rocks and corals.
